Equine Computed Tomography

CT produces information, using X-rays projected from different angles around the patient, which is then processed to produce cross-sectional images. CT is often the modality of choice for equine sinus and dental diseases, acute trauma and distal limb. Contrast studies are only performed in the distal limb at some facilities.

DICOM image files of CT studies are interpreted by our specialist radiologists and in conjunction with consultant specialists. Imaging Vets offer a personalized service, provided for our veterinary clinics in a relationship of mutual trust, to achieve the best results for each horse.
