Equine Ultrasound

Diagnostic ultrasound uses high frequency sound to create a map of soft tissue in the body. This test is an operator-dependent diagnostic test. The regions that can be evaluated to a depth of 30 cm in the foal and adult horse include: cardiac, abdominal, non-cardiac thorax, eye, jugular vein and musculoskeletal structure. Consultation at local equine clinics is available by appointment.

Although the most information is gained at the time of the ultrasound study, if you have a case that you are not sure about, the images and short video clips that you take, can also be uploaded for further interpretation.

Imaging Vets offer a personalized service, provided for our veterinary clinics in a relationship of mutual trust, to achieve the best results for the patient.
